Black Ballroom & Latin Dance Shoes - T-Bar & Spanish Heel • 019
The Diamant 019 Black Ballroom & Latin Dance Shoe is a dependable social dance favourite built around comfort, stability and security. Soft black suede gives this version a beautifully understated finish, while the low Spanish heel, supportive T-bar and cushioned footbed make it particularly comfortable for classes and long evenings on the dance floor.
Diamant 019 Black Personality
Classic • Comfortable • Understated • Dependable
Black gives the 019 a completely different character. Where Gold feels dressed for the social, this version is quieter, more traditional and exceptionally easy to wear. The soft suede and decorative cut-outs keep it unmistakably Ballroom, but there's nothing fussy about it. This is the pair that earns its place in the dance bag by being comfortable, secure and ready to work week after week.
Diamant 019 Black Ballroom Shoes - Design & Performance
The 4.2cm Spanish Comfort heel is central to the appeal of the Diamant 019. Its lower height and broader base create a reassuring platform beneath the dancer, providing noticeably more stability than a slender or higher Latin heel while still maintaining an elegant Ballroom stance.
Across the forefoot, the open-toe suede vamp uses shaped panels and decorative cut-outs to hold more of the foot than a minimal strappy Latin sandal. The result feels contained without becoming heavy, with enough openness at the front for comfortable toe placement and movement.
The classic T-bar construction runs through the centre of the foot into an adjustable strap and supportive closed heel. This helps keep the foot comfortably positioned as the dancer travels, turns and changes direction, making the 019 particularly reassuring for social dancing and dancers building confidence in Ballroom footwear.
Inside, Diamant's Comfort Footbed provides additional cushioning beneath the foot, while the breathable microfibre lining helps manage moisture during longer sessions. A professional suede dance sole completes the construction, providing the controlled combination of glide and grip expected on an indoor dance floor.
The black suede upper is soft from the outset and continues to adapt with wear. Although officially an F regular width, our experience with the 019 is that its shape feels more accommodating than many slimmer Ballroom and Latin shoes, particularly through the forefoot.

Dance World Notes
The quietly dependable 019.
Black doesn't ask for attention, which is precisely its appeal. This is an easy shoe to pair with almost anything and a particularly practical choice for weekly classes, social dancing and dancers who want one reliable pair to do a little bit of everything.
Comfort is what keeps this model selling.
The combination of the low Spanish heel, cushioned footbed, T-bar and accommodating forefoot makes the 019 especially reassuring for dancers who don't enjoy the exposed or highly pitched feeling of traditional Latin sandals.
Dance World Fit Advice
Overall Fit
The Diamant 019 generally fits true to size. We recommend beginning with your usual UK dance shoe size.
Width & Forefoot
Diamant lists the model as an F regular width, but our experience is that the 019 feels slightly more generous than many women's Ballroom and Latin shoes. It can work particularly well for a regular-to-moderately-wide forefoot.
Dance World sizing recommendations are intended as a guide. Ballroom shoe fit is individual and can vary with foot width, toe shape, instep height and personal preference.
Dance World Tip - For dancers buying their first pair of Ballroom shoes, black is wonderfully uncomplicated. Pair that versatility with the 019's low, broad-based heel and secure T-bar and you have a shoe that lets you concentrate on learning the movement rather than constantly thinking about your footwear.
